“True creativity takes true vulnerability.”

~ Jen Jenkins

Nature inspires everything I create. This was a trip to Joshua Tree, one of my favorite places on this Earth.

The Artist

My name is Jen Jenkins, yes, it’s kinda fun to say like an announcer. I’ve been an artist since forever, but got lost for many years and didn’t have the time or energy to create away from work. To learn more about that plot twist, read My Journey.

I love to laugh, I’m wacky, and I’m a messy perfectionist so you could call me an oxymoron. I use the term “muppet” for all things endearing, but especially animals. I love Patrick Rothfuss’s books, fall, intelligent sarcasm, animals, and nature.

My favorite mediums in order from recent to past, I love them all still: marker, oil (with natural solvents), acrylic, rocks, watercolor, pencil, wood, glass, sculpting…. ok I have a lot of favorites!

I believe in many things, but most in inspiring others to create. That doesn’t just mean those of us that do it for a living. I believe that each of us are an artist in some way. To create is what makes us innately human.

To learn about what we use and why we use it, visit Our Ingredients.

My Journey.

Each of us have an amazing story to tell. If you’d like to hear some of mine, here it is.

The Village.

Absolutely no one can do anything worth while all on their own. God has blessed me with an amazing village to cheer me on, support me, and tell me the truth when things feel shaky. I love these wonderful people, and am immensely thankful for them.
