This tiger cub’s name is Rosa, which is Italian for the color pink. Rosa is named because even though your brain tells you she’s orange, I mostly used bright pink to bring her to life! If you look closely you’ll see all the colors of the rainbow in her beautiful fur. Rosa was made with an extra dash of love which might be she’s so special to us.

Rosa was born while drinking a scrumptious latté in August 2020. She’s created in pencil, ink, colored in Copic markers, and finished with Golden acrylic paint. This fine-art print is 5x5 inches and on 100% cotton, true baryta (barium sulfate) fiber paper that offers the density of a traditional darkroom FB-type paper to hold detail in the deep blacks of the shadow regions, while producing natural white highlights that’s enhanced with a slight fiber glossy surface texture.

Why are tigers awesome? Tigers are a keystone species. They're integral to the health of the ecosystems in which they live. As apex predators, they keep prey species under control. This protects the vegetation which in turn maintains the integrity of streams, forests and croplands that provide people around the world with clean air, water, food and financial benefits. When we protect tigers, we protect ourselves.” - read more incredible facts at animalplanet.com
